is it me... but the more Elestan fleshed out his arguments...the more frogboy and svs seemed agitated, like it was hitting more closer to home than either one wanted to lead on...but thats just me inferring text into feeling...hmmm.

they should just make the game anyways...make all their glorious plans within the game...give all the races, places generic names...release modding tools...let the modders fill in the correct names...problem solved...maybe.

on the belief that when you bought "star control"  that you acquired everything within the name as well...and that therein lies the problem...

When we acquired the trademark we...acquired the trademark.   I'm not sure what you are getting at.
i believe your company was misled into thinking you bought everything star control related...names...places...characters...story...ui...themes...sounds...impressions

when in fact all you bought was the the name "star control" ... just the name...nothing else.

ive tried different methods of switching os only to realize 2 things about them...
windows is a glorified game launcher
linux is a glorified browser launcher

in a dual boot setup where i work and browse in linux and game in windows...i find that if i need to look up some gaming related question while gaming i have to shut down my game...boot into linux...browse, find my answer...shut down linux boot into windows...continue gaming...not practical to me.

software solutions ie virtualization don't cut it either ... cant game in a vr windows ... and browsing and working is just easier on windows itself.
now a hardware solution might be were its at...if we could get motherboards that would or could switch between an os as easy as i switch between tasks in windows that would work.

to put it simply...windows plays ALL the games...if any other OS did that id change but they dont, so i dont.

And remember: They think they have the right to call their game the "true" sequel as well as a direct sequel to Star Control II.
unless your game is going to reveal the nature of all the mysteries of star control 2 ie androsynth, orz, arilou human tampering, places destroyed on earth by urquan and their significance, mael-um, and last but not least the precursors...your game cannot be a true sequel...and to boot your game lives in a universe outside of whats transpired, and further on top, it suppose to take place before the urquan wars ie "origins". how can you even get mad at them for that?

Thanks for your input and for the imported feature. I am going to check it out here shortly as the release of Star Control Origins beta is eating up my time.

Good to know, thank you so much. Looking forward to the update then. Will that include the lander mineral loss fix from the HD version?
ie the lander wont waste mineral pickups if it will not fit in the hold?
That was a really great idea. I wish it was part of the original game when i played it oh so long ago.
Maybe as an addon if not. Thanks for the reply.
