Ok, long story short there is someone I know who would love this game if they ever tried it but they happen to be very.... stubborn to trying it.
I have looked and searched and looked some more for some snippets of the first few lines the Kzer-Za say to the player- or some other non-spoiler (so defo not the korah) lines.
I think the megaMod images + sound would really hype them up.
TL;DR I want a quick clip of some places in the game that showcase some of the best lines or art that is also spoiler free .
He really likes good writing.  Any good ideas I could shove in his face?

And for then Pkunk hints you do need to visit them several times, which is otherwise a time-waster.

She just let her ship die at first. I sort of nudged her at the ESC key. On that note, she didnt even know that she could escape battles.

For the beast, ZEX gives you the hint that the constellation is something like "a snake that has swallowed the beast." And that the name is close to "Linch-nas-ploh." This is easier to follow if you have a starmap which shows the constellation shapes and connections, which was included on paper the original game.

The riddle was all but impossible for her I am afraid.  She simply had no way of knowing or finding out about the beast.
I didnt want to give that map since it has spoilers. Tho it would not of have helped much. She went to constellations like "hyades" and the ones near the Yehat since IRL those are snakes.


And she died to the death march- Really enjoyed the game and will try again so fingers crossed she can beat it this time! ^^

As for the beast, I saw this on the wiki

So I have projected this game onto my gf, as I have to my brother and sister before her.

She has gotten real far in the game without figuring out the Shofixti- more specifically, the whereabouts of the beast. As I understand it its one of the first quests.
Apparently the thradash tell you where the beast is but she has sent them to the war and after that she became their master and still nothing about a beast (or the aqua helix).
As a new player not using the wiki, how would one find the beast and for the matter the helix?

There is a rather massive list of interactions and stuff that I have found that could be addressed when it comes for making better newcomer experience but this one is a particularly perplexing one.

perhaps when urquan3 comes out and if it gets more attention this might become an embarrassing truth to the show makers.
Tho fred and paul have said that the next game will be aimed more at those from the urquan masters. So maybe not so much mainstream attention

I know Fred and Paul have said that Babylon takes from them, but I cant find anyone pointing out the episodes or plots or what have you.

Hello there!!

I am a new member but I have played ur-quan for years.

I have only just found out about this- any any other- ur-quan community.

I have played this game only ever with the base stuff, except with some different music maybe. I saw the ur-quanHD a while ago and disagreed with  parts of it. The mega mod, however,  I did like the look of but anything that did not get modded by it was then instead used by the HD ver.  I have some burning questions here, can anyone help?

TL;DR I am a long time fan and only just found that other people exist. I have questions xd

• For said "megamod" is there a way to have it but for anything that is not  modded to be the vanilla and not be the HD mod?
• Can I buy the steam starcontroll 1/2 and still use all mods and stuff on those games?
• How can I help right now? I love and have loved this game so much
• When using any mods do I need to start a new save?
  
• When it comes to the next game, can someone explain? I have seen the post that they have made on the legal stuff but I dont see a solid conclusion.
