The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Precursors, Precursors where art thou?

Sorry for dragging this old thread back out of the mud, but I feel some explanation is required. Like TiLT said, the Precursors team hasn't really kept in touch for a long while. I guess real life took precedence and some team members lost interest/patience, and before you know the months and years fly by. Personally I haven't really thought a lot about the Precursors project for ages, and except for the occasional pang of annoyance at leaving a job unfinished I've mostly devoted my creative time and energies to real life band activity. Lately I've returned to the solitary composing routine again though, releasing some stuff on my Trax in Space page (though the site itself is in rigor mortis) every once in a while. No new remixes have been attempted for quite some time, though, so completing the final remix pack is a long way away in any scenario. I guess leaving some of the most difficult and anticipated tracks for last wasn't the best of ideas.

I live in what you might call an upscale suburban neighbourhood, full of nice gardens and greenery. One of the most popular trees in said gardens is lilac. Just a couple of days ago they burst into bloom, and it's one of the most wonderful smells known to man, at least to this man.

The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Trainer in the Making

AFAIK the word "trainer" can also refer to flight simulator used in e.g. pilot's training programs.
Perhaps it's possible that the use of the word is derived from there? In essence, a trainer is a machine/game that allows the operator to play without risk of harm or injury?
EDIT: also, in sports games, you can usually play in "training" mode, outside any matches or tournaments.

By making any Submission, the sender automatically grants, or warrants that the owner of such material expressly grants, LucasArts the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute such material (in whole or in part) throughout the universe and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed, for the full term of any copyright, trademark or patent that may exist in such material for any purpose that LucasArts chooses, whether internal, public, commercial, or otherwise, without any compensation, credit or notice to the sender whatsoever. damn, when I registered here for the first time It was really at an early stage, just too bad I probably lost the nick&password, then again when I searched for the possible nick on the member list I didn't find anything, oh well. I may just be making this up, but wasn't the member list 'cleansed' at some point; ie. registered users with 0 posts deleted? Or am I thinking about some other forum? and now I'm feeling bad and ashamed to even put my name in this noble thread. well, at least I know what to strive for... How about doing like Censored suggests, strive for quality rather than quantity?
