Even in SC3 there was no 'juffo-wup guy', as far as I recall.

Also -- it's not wrong to use SC3, so long as it stays in it's own little SC3 box.

Unfortunately, Umgah jokes tend to leave at least someone (the butt of the joke) in a less than jovial mood. Maybe they could play a trick on themselves?

What we need is a direction the Umgah can take their jokes which is simultaneously very funny and not fatal.

Either that or... well, consider that the Umgah ship is called a drone. Doesn't this suggest that the Umgah themselves are not actually on board? Perhaps if we found where the Umgah actually ARE we could play some jokes on THEM... and they'd tone down their antics for self-preservation.

It's called a Drone because it's a drone to the Ur-Quan hierarchy.  The ship's are called Drones, not the crew.  Tongue

I think the Umgah could play plenty of jokes on the Druuge.  I wouldn't mind, and I'm sure others wouldn't either.  I would also like to see (to answer what would be the best ending) the Spathi play a trick on the Umgah and get back at them for their infamous pranks pulled over the years.  I wouldn't care if a couple Drones blew up... would you?

Well, also consider that the captains of the ships consider it a wild joke to kill themselves by fighting you. This is corroborative. Perhaps the umgah are a psychic collective rather than a society, and so the loss of a few bodies here and there is not significant. That would also explain why they were so easily taken over -- each body is very receptive to psychic suggestion.
