The Taalo Rock

A question I've been thinking about...I've figured out where everything else is in the game in terms of in-game hints and directions where to find it....except the Taalo Rock.

I know the Orz mention the "Taalo playground", but beyond that is there a direct clue anywhere in the game that says something like "this cool rock thing is here"?

Suprising, but the kohr-ah tell you about it! But, you need to meet the arilou first and they need to tell you about the "hold! what you are doing is wrong... bla bla bla..". Then the kohr-ah tell you about the Taalo and thier device, but not where it is...

Well, if you're mining out Orz space like a good materialist you'll run across it.

Hmmm, Now i remember it! After like 7 times the evil froge sends you to the ur-quan, they tell you about the taalo device in orz space(not that they know about the orz...). It is pretty funny to make the ur-quan scared when you tell him about that froge... Roll Eyes

I'll go with D_999. Just keep mining those juicy Orz systems, and you'll find it easily enough.

Resurrecting this post - someone commented in the Ultron thread on this...here's the chance to comment now...and yes I know about the Commander's comment, but it's not a real clue that says "here's how to deal with Toadie", or anything else of that nature...

I seem to recall either the Quan or the Melnorme telling you that the Taalo were working on a weapon against the Dnyarri, but that they were destroyed before they could use it...

Ahem...

Quote
When the Dnyarri took control over the Milieu, one race fought back -- the Taalo.
These slow, quiet creatures were silicon-based life forms
but bore little resemblance to the modern Chenjesu.
The Taalo were natural immunes to the Dynarri psychic compulsion; they were unaffected by the creatures' power
and the Dynarri would not permit anyone to exist outside their control
so they ordered the remaining eleven races of the Milieu to attack and destroy the Taalo home planet.
This planet was one of the few Milieu worlds located in this region of space.
I believe you call their star Delta Vulpeculae. Their home was a moon revolving about the second planet.
I am sad to say that the Taalo were, indeed, eliminated.
However, at the time of their devastation they had completed a device
which they thought would give other races psychic immunity like their own.
What happened to this device, this shield? It's hard to say.
Maybe it was destroyed in the attack on their homeworld, maybe not.
