I dont get it. The alliance would've fallen anyway without the Sa-Matra. so what's the point of destroying it? the kzer za and there hierarchy battle thralls defeated the alliance.. or in other words got their butts kicked
SO what the hell is the point of destroying the sa-matra if the alliance is no match for the Ur-Quan in the first place???

If your enemy had a weapon that could destroy all of your best ships from ten times thier own weapon range without taking so much as a scratch, and was able to subjugate your strongest allies easily, you'd want it destroyed as insurance against its misuse again.
If your species had in its posession a relic of incredible power and kept it in its own posession for 200,000 years, and in fact your species' percieved "dominance" over all your slaves was attributed to this artifact (even indirectly), you would be quite demoralized to hear of or even witness the loss of it.
The Yehat themselves even tell you (paraphrasing) that you can destroy Dreadnaughts left and right for as long as you like, but you'll never defeat the Ur-Quan as long as they have the Sa-Matra. Considering how powerful the Sa-Matra is, and how wise the Yehat are in matters of war, I would consider this a reasonable assumption.

I don't think the VUX, Mycon, Umgah, and Yehat (if you skipped that part) came running to help the Ur-Quan out after the Sa-Matra went down. Knowing that most of the hierarchy had been dismantled and the New Alliance--led by the all-powerful Chmmr--were bearing down on the Ur-Quan, I figure they just kicked back and watched while eating popcorn. Besides, the Kohr-Ah would throw a huge fit if they had to work with other species.

that's sounds interesting, what will happen if the Kohr-Ah starts the cleansing and stopping by on Proycon? shouldn't there be a little sruprise for them?(they attack without the Sa-Matra at first)
