I could point out the limitless resources that point this out, but instead, I suggest you find the Melnorme and ask them about information on aliens. If not, try current events. I can't really remember which question to ask them since I've known where its been for over 6 years.
EDIT: Heck, the Arilou, Thraddash, and Zoq-Fot-Pik even give you clues, but I prefer the Melnorme since they actually tell you which star system to look in.

You can buy the information from the melnorme (in-game solution), you can search _all_ planets near the quasi-space-exits or you can search for a wwalkthrough or hint file on:
http://www.star-control.com
or
http://dlh.net (online and offline cheat and walkthough database)
I do not have the coordinates in my head, but try looking at an other side of the map (we hunams are in the lower left corner, so there are the upper left, the upper right and the lower right corners to look).
One giveaway though: you have to search _all_ planets, even if you _know_ that you cannot live or collect resources there.
