ok, the kzer-za and the kohr-ah are both types of ur-quan. but if i say ur-quan in general, does it refer to kzer-za? what is the etticate of how to speak of the races of ur-quan?

That seems accurate enough, but note that the Kohr-Ah will refer to their bretheren as the Kzer-Za. Very rarely do the Kzer-Za refer to themselves as such.

I dont think that only the kohr-ah is like an offshoot.. the completly original Ur-Quan was the brown one. The game refers the Kzer-Za ships as Ur-quan and the black just as kohr-ah only cuz in sc1 there were no Kohr-Ah.. so they didn't wanna fuck it up...

It is as though your species' brain is too small to hold a simple thought such as, WE WILL KILL YOU FOR DISOBEYING! This is not a complex idea.

my original question was what we should refer to them as, but now ic another subject. the kzer-za call themselves ur-quan, and the kohr-ah called the kzer-za kzer-za. do the kzer-za seem a bit full of themselves.

Full of themselves? Doubtful, but maybe. However, when they proclaim "We are the Ur-Quan", they aren't lying. They're just not telling the whole truth. Then again, the whole truth wouldn't matter much when most species encountering the Kzer-Za retaliate by opening fire. Communication with the Ur-Quan other than receiving orders is probably unheard of, because of the master-slave relationship they have with thier thralls.
