but it seems like this forum is about to die...
Just because we aren't the KeenSpot forums doesn't mean we're in our death throes.  I'm actually seriously surprised that the boards are as active as they are.
I am here for only 2 months or some and to be honest, I'll admit this place has nothing more to offer!( except for the "new x.x version is out" or "new remix for xxxxx race")
Don't forget the Star Control facts, and the people making plans for extensions. (Granted, if these aren't interesting to you, that's not much of a draw.)
Remember, we aren't PNF; you don't get to these forums unless you're dealing with UQM specifically. Thus, the primary people that are posting here are mostly going to be (a) developers and content creators, (b) the people for whom the development or the content creation is the draw (get the latest remixes, see the addons, etc.) and (c) the people who just (re-)discovered the game and are playing through it excitedly.
Of these, (c) will be the vast majority, and yeah, it's going to get repetitive.
But anyway. If you aren't having fun, don't bother checking in. Or check in weekly/monthly and pick out the interesting looking subject lines. And if your goal in checking the forum is just to make sure you don't miss 0.4, then subscribe to sc2-announce.
(And if the Technical Issues board ever dies, then our work is done, isn't it. )

Remember: This game is nearly 11 years old!
I think this board is making great for such an old game.
The PoNaF nearly never had an active board like this, although Chad worked hard for it! (Thanks Chad!)
And if it is repetitive, so what? When i'm going out with friends, the talk is quite repetitive as well, still i do not stop meeting them....
And cinema is very repetitive, as well as new computergames. But still i go to cinema every now and then, the latter i've stopped except for some games (civ, MoO, Alpha Centauri, Risk-style games).
So if you stopped liking it hop on the net to find something new to you. There should be plenty (try random clicks on yahoo directories, the results are sometimes surprisingly positive).

Yeah, for an 11 year old game this board is really active. And personally, I don't have the time to jump on the boards where any thread left alone for 24 hours is considered "dead". I really like these boards pace.
Maybe it's not fast enough for some, but I like it.
As for no new topic, well what's to say. Give it time my man.

Well, 10,000 posts isn't so significant as the membership count, which is currently 747. Also a count of the guests we get would contribute.
After all, if this board has 10,000 posts, then Lukipela and I each contribute a bit under 10% of the total. Kohr-Ah Primat is just behind, even with her extended hiatus.
