Well, as the person who made the patch that changed it from 12 to 14, I can say that adding in enough slots so you could have one of each ship would be possible. Obviously it would take some modifications that that part of the code and the content, but it's doable. I think, though, that this would be considered as one of those "post-1.0, non-official branch changes." It's just not something worth coding right now, especially considering the changes to the resource system that will be made somewhere between now and 0.4.

Full Game:
2 Eluders
2 Crusiers
1 Skiff
2 Penetrators
3 Terminators
2 Torches

I like using the little guys. Alternate is to swap the Torches for Blades, and the Skiff for my glorious Bom-er-Scout.  Grin

Melee (assuming 14 ships, 1 of each one listed):
Dreadnought
Blade
Jugger
Eluder
Podship
Intruder
Guardian
Torch
Marauder
Mauler
Stinger
Trader
Transformer
Avatar

Hmm...I feel inspired to write up another ship tac list. Dunno for what one though.

In the original it was:

1 Cruiser
2 Torches
2-3 Juggers
2-3 Blades
2 Nemesis
1 Eluder
(by that time i was a bad one with the Fury, and i couldn't by it, therfor never tried it. The Avatar is not listed, because i only used it against the Sa-Matra, for nothing else)
By the time i had my fleet (actually i never got it this complete, modules were of higher importance to me), i fought all my battles with the Vindicator.

By now my favourite fleet would be:

Fwiffo (!, although i never use him)
1 Cruiser
2 Nemesis
2 Torches
1 Jugger
2 Blades
1 Skiff
2 Fury

but still i'm fighting primarily with the one and only undestroyable ship, my beloved Flagship of Unzervalt, the Vindicator.

I dunno how undestroyable it is... the amplified utwig bomb seemed to do a pretty thorough job... Wink

Yeah it did. But that was a self-destruction.... Wink

But granted, against the Ur-Quan designed defensive weapons of the Sa-Matra it stands no chance... Sad Mostly because the ATS brings my shots on the wrong road. Sad

And i do not wish to know, how my service vehicle would fare if the Sa-Matra was turned on full power.
