If it did, I'd be interested in seeing a comparison of the usage rates of the UQM forum and the SC3-rerelease forum.  It'd be another measuring stick for SC3.

Maybe, if we could convince everyone that was on the SC3Dev team at Accolade to commit mass-suicide for their heinous crimes, then get Accolade to simply GIVE the SC3 source to TFB, then perhaps. It'd need some tweaking, though. Well, "some" is an understatement...

Well, I don't think it will be re-released for few reasons.
First, it isn't a good game like sc2 that is wroth to be re-released.
Second, the problem with sc3 can't be fixed unless you write (or change a bit) the plot. Damn it had a good potentiel for a killer game like sc2....

No, it will never be re-released, and if you ask any Starcon fan(like myself, been playing it since i was 10), they don't even consider starcontrol 3 to be a true sequal. Since the story was not in the hands of the creators.  

If it is re-released, few will buy it if it not redone by the two great ones.

they did the next best thing they merged or were hostily taken over.

and i believe the company that took them over was also taken over or there was another merger.

Its the curse of SC3

Why would you need to re-release it?

The game still works on my computer just as badly as it did when it was first release.
