There is much better "bug" in the star naming system. Some earth stars have 2 names: one that positions it in its constallation and the second (optional) is, i suppose, historical one. E.g: Deneb is the same star as Alpha Cygnus.
In the game these are two completely different stars. So the only excuse to the hyperspace starmap present ion the game is that those who named the stars instead of chenjesu terms just took the words used to denote the stars and put them to the star in the map somehow without ANY connection to reality. :-) (I wonder who was that: Paul or Fred  )
