I do like the initial drum lead-in. However, when it comes time for the main tune, I like the stick beat you use midway through much more than the thicker beat you actually use. Especially for initial exposition, I'd use that thinner beat.
The synth and xylophone runs are pretty good, and they work very nicely with the main tune.
When you have the growling voice take the tune, you could be developing a bit more... perhaps the growl also do something with the harmony, a little counterpoint?
Nice job, especially for a first shot.
