It might sound silly, but I often askthe person or a close friend of theirs. If you ask well in advance you can usually get something you *know* they want. They'll often forget they told you (or the other friend) anyway.

How about a pony? All girls like pnies, right? Or a clone!

Personally I want to see the Knicks win the finals! They have been doing better now then the have in memory.  I know most UQM post DO NOT live in the US cause' most never heard of it here at least people I know Master Of Orion seams popular for some reason never mind I'm giving of topic.  In case u don't know the Knicks are the shittly and only national basketball team here in New York.

I am personally happy with sports. Yep, seeing my Patriots take the super bowl did it for me!

On-Topic: I find that if people give me money it is like they arent thinking of me and had to come up with a last sec gift. I persoanlly like the gift certificate better because (as I said before) it shows the person that you remembered they birthday more than two seconds before it happened. Besides, they still have a choice in what they are getting.

i always mess around with the displays, at the mall. that, to me me, would make a great gift.

I agree, Canadian football sucks. I really dont care (me not being that big a sports fan). In my opinion baseball sucks, and I say that meaning no offence to amaricans, or people that like baseball.
