The Star Control group of nations has splittered into at least two fractions, divided into three regions:

- Star Control: nothing is happening there, just one nation, so that we will not lose the name to some bugger who likes it.
- The Star Control
- Home Quadrant
The latter two have been founded after we had some problems with one player. Our region (Star Control) got deleted by the mods, we restartet in The Star Control, but due to different views how things should run, Home Quandrant has been founded by The Philosocracy of Lost Chenjesu.
The by far biggest region remains The Star Control.

Just to bring you all towards the correct regions,

Enjoy!

Bah. If anyone is really bored and want to see some pointless drama, mozy on over to the SC boards and read through the nationstates threads over there.  amazing how people can invest so much time into such pointless bickering. this is exactly the reason I don'tt go for games like these, forum drama is quite enough for me.

I don't really see the appeal of this game. I started playing as the nation of Vlik, but all you do is answer easy questions and see your country get better and better.

It's a government simulator it's like civilization without war.  The different choices u make determine what kind of government u have so there are no "easy" questions.

Well they are all opinion questions, so as long as you have opinions they are easy.

I know some peoples' emotions there are very high-strung I guess u saw me inciting riots and whatever the sheer entertainment value is enough.  and carious personalities here have become part of Nationstates namely NECRO-99, A_Stuipid_Box(not really here but u get the idea), Krulle, Frumple and ETH(not here but SCDB most active member) Wehave suffered two regoin crashing allready and myself A_S_B and Frumple are trying to create regoins in hopes of stability, Although it's more work than it's worth.

Jennifer Government: NationStates (JGNS) is giving you just a slight insight to governing a nation. Try to get your nation to something like "inoffensive centrist democracy" or "The times democracy" or whatever you want as government. It ain't that easy to keep your nation there.
Some of my nations, especially Kzer-Za, frequently lose their wanted status (for Kzer-Za: "father-knows-best state" and become a "psychotic dictatorship" or "capitalist paradise"). There is not much to do in JGNS, but the decission you make change the type of government you have. And that quite rapidly.
The appeal for me, was that when i started playing JGNS, it took me 2x 5 minutes a day. i had a distractment for a minute, typed some pseudo-RP in the regional messagebox and came back in the evening. Some of the talk was really hilarious, sometimes it is only funny. But nontheless, i continue playing, although time gets shorter for me day by day.

Granted, some issues are really annoying, especially since the issues tend to come back too often (which got better since they accepted so many new issues), but as Max Berry (the author of Jennifer Government) put it (if you propose an issue): "there should be no 'right' or 'wrong' decissions". It's all about what would you decide, and the game tells you what kind of government you would reign.

Anyway, enjoy!
