Not a savegame... a game editor, i think i remember seeing a program that did special stuff to this, one was to change the amount of time in years it took the ur-quan to win...... but that was "untested" in the version i remember.....

it also had other things, but that was the main highlight for me....

anyone remember this?

no it let you adjust the lengnth of the total game and other weird aspects like that....

i think i found it but didnt know how to use it so got rid of it or something....

plus i already have that loader... it rules :p

hey great tools. i especially like the loader. i downloaded the savegame editor but i can't seem to get it to work. i checked all the directories under the star control folder but i cant find the savegame files *.00, *.01 etc. does the game compress and decompress the save games when its started or closed?

Start -> Find -> Files and folders -> starcon.00 -> Search

i tried searching for the file starcon.00 and *.00 on the entire computer. no luck. my save games exist. i can load them, i'm just not sure where they come from. anyone have any idea?

meh. mine are named starcon2.00 and so on, and can be find under

c:\Program Files\The Ur-Quan Masters\userdata\uqm\save

That's running win98 mind you, and I can find them with find *.00 so it might not help.

all my save games are in my application data directory..
C:\Documents and Settings\Epsium\Application Data\uqm\save

..try there.
