Hi!

I don't have an internet connection fast enough to download UQM. Is there a full installation on CD that I can just use to install?

Well, I suppose if you know someone else who has downloaded it and burned it to CD, then yes. Otherwise, I'd think not.

But the install process and the download are integral so even if I just copied the directory in Program Files I would still have to know what registry keys are affected. Or does this program not register itself in the registry? So a simple dump from a friend's install wouldn't work.

Any other suggestions?

Download the packets and the installer, burn to CD, bring to netless computer. Then tell installer not to look for files on internet.

Os some such, it's been a while since I've done it so I'll leave it to the pros (meep?). But it should not be impossible.

I think the only thing UQM related in the registry is the Uninstall info, but I'm not positive.  I'd be willing to bet just copying over the folder should work.  (To test this out I renamed the UQM dir and ran it, and it ran just fine.)
