I'm just a beginner playin UQM, so please help me a little:
1. What I can do with the Egg Case? Whats the use?? 2. The Kohr-Ah wins the war to fast for beginner, can I change the war-end-date somehow? 3. Are there any races in the area of Ur-Quans & Kohr-Ah except the Zip-Zak-Pok or something? 4. How I can discuss anything with the Mycon? Or Umgah? Or Traddash? 5. Is there any way I could win an Ur-Quan dreadnougth or Kohr-Ah ship with a single ship? I dont want to waste all my fleet to 1 enemy. 6. How is my english??

>1. What I can do with the Egg Case? Whats the use??
Are you sure you want spoilers on this? Lets just say you should be carefull selling it. That may not be the smartest thing to do right away. >2. The Kohr-Ah wins the war to fast for beginner, can I change the war-end-date somehow?
You can indeed. >3. Are there any races in the area of Ur-Quans & Kohr-Ah except the Zip-Zak-Pok or something?
Lets just say that if there is anything of interest in their space you'll probably find out about it sometime during your adventure. >4. How I can discuss anything with the Mycon? Or Umgah? Or Traddash?
Try to think like them. Ofcourse there are times when simply talking wont solve anything.
>5. Is there any way I could win an Ur-Quan dreadnougth or Kohr-Ah ship with a single ship? I dont want to waste all my fleet to 1 enemy.
There are a lot of ways to beat those ships with very little losses on your side. Your fleet can probably make up for the lack of raw power by using superior manouverability. Also the mothership is one mean *** when upgraded. >6. How is my english??
Not flawless yet easily understandable
How's mine?

When it comes to dreadnoughts, there is a very simple strategy to use that works every single time. So long as you can avoid hitting the planet and so long as the dreadnought does not spawn right next to your ship, it's possible to wipe the floor with upwards of 5 dreads without taking a single loss (ship AND crew wise).
Warp in with an earthling cruiser. Some people may cringe and think I'm insane but hear me out.
Lob off two shots and thrust AWAY from the dread. After a few seconds at max thrust, the dread will turn around and attempt to come from the other side, rotate your ship, slow down, and PURSUE the dreadnought until it starts turning. Turn around and keep doing this. Whenever the dread is facing away from you, lob off nukes in quick succession.
I call this method *dancing* with the dreadnoughts (due to it's back and forth nature ). It's DAMN effective. Far more effective then a Chmmr is. It wont work very well against the Melee component and I doubt it will ever work against a human, but for the SP Dreads it works like a charm. Ever since I figured out that tactic I've never lost a cruiser to a dread (provided I start far away enough, avoid the planet and {once I've obliterated on dreadnought} provided that the next dread does not spawn near me).
The kohr-ah is another cookie entirely. The FRIED will cook your nukes before they can get into range and those shuriken blades tear a cruiser apart in seconds. Whenever I meet up with those puppies I tend to just warp out with the flagship as fast as I can.
Still, if your up to the task, there IS a way to defeat a Kohr-Ah with a cruiser and take few losses, but it involves a LOT of luck. I've done it once or twice, let me see if I can recall.
Fire off two nukes. The Kohr-Ah will let off a FRIED. Run away and try to avoid the blades, but dont go too fast. Make the Kohr-Ah waste his fuel on frieds as much as possible. He'll catch up to you eventually and this is where the luck part comes in.
The Kohr-Ah has to ram your ship. You have to be off center, slightly off to the side of the front of his ship. His momentum will be transferred to you and you will slowly but surely outrun the Kohr-Ah. You can fire nukes with nigh impunity whilst the Kohr-Ah tries in vain to waste you by spamming blades at various angles.
It works because, if he's hit you and you are in the correct position, you will be between angles. When you are between angles, the Kohr-Ah cant hit you and the AI cannot recognise this fact. The Kohr-Ah will continue to spam blades, leaving you to fire off nukes unimpeded by FRIED.
Of course, you'd better cross your fingers that an asteroid does not come in to upset this knife edge balance of power, because one little mistake and you'll be cleansed faster then you can say "Path of Now and Forever"
Your english is quite good, understandability is always the best thing to aim for, especially if english is not your first language.
If you didnt understand something or have trouble reading a certain part of my message, dont hesitate to bring it up, I'd be more then happy to help you understand.
Welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay

We did. You did. Yes we can. No.

If you find the end date approaching rapidly, I have two things to say:
1: Go faster (buy more thrusters at the Starbase)
2: Befriend the Spathi and carefully listen to the news they give you when you meet them afterwards (it may take a few tries, the news items rotate)

Thanks a lot for your advices, but HOW exactly can I change the war-ending-date? I really wouldnt wont to start the game third time, by the way: about year ago I saw few minutes from a somekind of scifi-film: there were a boy and girl, and they looked out from their home: It was night, and there were Traddash ( ) ships landing to their backyard!!! Then the boy said something to them, and entered one of those ships; o o \ /-----\ Door I / I I <--------- I- 2.5 meters about / I_I \ I O O / And thats it, end credits.
Yes, your english is WERY good, I thought you are all yankees or something, I live in finland (North-Europe).

SC2 has a cult status in Finland? I read the retro-article of it in Pelit, but I didn't know that people HERE love it that much. I haven't met anyone who appreciates SC2 as much as I do. But if that's how it is, it's just great.

I would suggest you not try to use the Earthling ship against the worst enemies. Spathi and Orz can do it much better. Also, a fully upgraded flagship can crush pretty much every group of ships in the game.
