SC2 has a cult status in Finland? I read the retro-article of it in Pelit, but I didn't know that people HERE love it that much. I haven't met anyone who appreciates SC2 as much as I do. But if that's how it is, it's just great.

Back in high school (many years ago), my friends and I played SuperMelee quite a lot, and many of us have completed SC2 several times. More recently, I've noticed that the HUT Data Guild (TiK) room is a good place to find opponents for a quick game of SuperMelee; I've spotted quite a few people playing SC2 or UQM there. Your milage may vary, of course.

SC2! SC2! SC2! SC2! UQM! UQM! UQM! What? Oh no, no cult status at all, I just tend to be... erm.. carried away, yeah that's it!

Seriously though, there are a lot of people playing SC2 in finland, it seems every board or place assosciated with it has a high percentage of finns. But seeing as the game is way old, we don't get many new joiners nowadays. Just us old diehard cultists.

Another reason may be that we're a quiet and wiley cult, and that we only have a few months left before the first finnish Human CrusierTM has been finished in a basement under Karjaa.

Just you wait and see.

Too bad it's not nearly as good as the EARTHLING cruiser we use in the game ;>
