this makes me wanna finish my movie, i got shofixti scouts that fly by.... but thats it, its pretty good i think....

gotta finish the ur-quan.... which im trying to make REALLY detailed... kuz im gonna make it a battleship, not a big fighter....

have some shofixti swarmin it :p and ur-quan fighters doing their job...



but thats all i got picture wise, i do have a video, but nowhere to host it...

at the Shofixti home system?  ... Or the Ilwrath fleet butchering the Pkunk, just as the signal comes in for them to leave? The uncloaking + flame effect would be really impressive.



if this is what your doing i could donate my shofixti fighters, but they look alot smoother with post-video effects (motion blur) and raytrace reflections....

like my picture shows....

but there were a couple things about the fighter that was bugging me but oh well ill see if you like it...

If it's a reasonable size (read under 100MB), then I would be happy
to host it for a brief period of time....Say a week, so that everyone here
has a chance to see it.

Personally, I didn't like the fighters got involved at all.
But seeing a Kzer-Za warping in, shooting couple of blasts and leaves in 10 seconds is just too fast for making a movie of.
Before making this one I thought of either making instead:
*The Utwig and Supox vs Ur-Quans(targeting kohr-ah)
*Pkunk getting slayed by Yehat
*Yehat revolution
*Ilwrath vs Thradash
*Old alliance vs old hierarchy(actually this was the first idea)
*Androsynth going to kill some earthlings for fun
*Orz-Arilou fight(which I already started about a year ago but dropped it after a day. a scene  it's crap so dont expect much)
*Mael-num as the melnorme running from the Kohr-Ah at the first doc.war.
*I thought about a multiverse battle. something in the direction of borg and shadows and kohr-ahs come to have fun with the other sc races then vorlons and chmmr just killing them swiftly

I finally made A close call, since it was only 1v1 ships massive would take like 4 times the time and efforts.
The problem is that Star Control ships are quite primitive compared to other space creations, since most of them(besides Earthling&Arilou)they shoot only front.

so next movie i wanna do something good!
And preferably with the Chenjesu since i like that race!
Got all sc2 ships+starbase besides the Sa-Matra. There are certain ships that need retexturing work tho.

If you do make a new movie, I'd like to change my vote to the
Syreen attack on the Mycon. It's along same theme (battle you
don't get to see in-game) and the tatics used were well described.

Zeep-Eeep why when I click on your link IE comes to a screeching halt it totally locks up. Is it on my end or yours, or could it only be uploaded when you're online? I've tried it a couple of times over the past few days no error messages, my crap in the background worksI could be running WinAmp in the background without skips, I find this very confusing.

While I'm not in the habit of giving out free tech support for Internet
Explorer, I'll see what I can do....

First of all, yes, since the server is my home computer, I do have to be
on-line for the link to work.
However, I've been on-line non-stop for a few days. This shouldn't
be an issue.

Several people have been uploading files and downloading the
UQM movies....along with serveral other files. It is entirely
possbile that the server was full at the time. I only let about three
people DL at once.

I have no idea why you mention using WinAmp in your post.

Internet Explorer has a few bugs that make it unfriendly to FTP servers.
It usually works, but every so often it chokes.

My solution, keep trying ever so often. I'm tweaking my FTP settings
a little, in the hope that you'll have better luck. Failing that, try
using a dedicated FTP client and sending me any error messages.
(IE filters most error messages, so I'd suggest using the command line.)

EDIT:
After looking over the log file, I noticed that the problem seems to stem
from data timeouts. This means that information isn't sending (or isn't
sending fast enough). This makes me think that either you're behind a firewall using a slow Internet connection.
I hope this is of some help.
