I have a question regarding the selling of ships. what is the key command for doing so? the readme indicates that the controls for ship sale were changed to prevent accidental sale, and I am assuming that the button to do so is the menu-delete binding in the keys.cfg. however, those defined buttons, nor any other button on the keyboard (or any of my redefined keys) seem to do the one function I want. I'd rather sell those damn stingers and buy new thursters than lose them on purpose just so I can buy new ships.

my hat's off to this port btw. my original sc2 disks were... corrupted years ago (little brother playing with magnet) and I havnt been able to play it since Sad but now that's all solved, haha

I don't know what UQM looks like now (still playing SC2 with DOSBox mainly because I'm not getting the same experience with UQM yet), but when I did play it, selling a ship involved removing all the crew from the ship.

You might try that.

I can proably send you an install version of SC2 as it's installed as current, I'm using it mainly to see want the differences are.

Can you actually sell the ships in the original version, I seem to remember that you could, but in UQM all you can do is empty the ship of crew and then scrap it for no RU.

I always get the full worth of  the ship back in RU everytime I sell and pay the same amount when I buy.

The ship selling mechanic is different in UQM from both PC and 3DO versions.  The PC version had +/- ship selections in addition to +/- crew.  The 3DO version had the hangar like UQM, but selling the last crew member sold the ship.  This wasn't very friendly (if you mispushed the joystick, you could sell a gift ship and never be able to get it back) so UQM added a "0 crew" level marked SCRAP.  Check your projected RU level as you move to and from SCRAP - it will change in the value of the ship.

You most certainly do get RUs for selling ships in UQM; in powering through the earlygame, the Pkunk ships are usually 4000-6000 RU for the mill.
