Mine The Planet Below (orbit remix)
« on: June 18, 2004, 02:32:05 am »

Quite straight and simple remake of the original, structure is basically the same. Simple song, so most of the time making this one went in finding the right sounds..

I suppose this will be only in the bonus pack of next release (in ogg format) as we got other orbit songs for the pack itself..

Very atmostspheric. The metalicness is cool. How did you make all those metalic samples??

I think it does get a little bit too lost. Have you tried adding a strong bass underneath it?

Excellent job.

What sounds did you use in this remix?

Left a bit thin, metallic and "glassy" on purpose, mastered some of the bass out. Didn't want it to be too full.

I think I keep the "secret" of the pads as secret. Wink

Songs generally sound colder without bass and warmer with them. Could it be made so that this one plays on cold worlds and the original is played on warmer worlds?

Again, great work. It took me a bit of time to fully appreciate this one, just like Riku's Across the Galaxy Understanding and all.

Is there a bonus song for the space theme? (when you cruise around solar systems)

will there be one?

If I got inspiration for such. At times it is actually relaxing to compose such music.

It's nice, but I prefer the original track and the first remix you did.

ALSO:
I just heard the solar system remix from the pack#1 and it reminds me alot of the Mind War episode from Babylon 5.

So can both of these be implemented? Sounds like maybe a post 1.0 thing.

nah, adding a random-choose-orbit-song is just another cose line. But currently that shouldn't be implemented, since there have to be strict limits - or else you could say that every other thing is just "another line here, another line there.."
