What other games are you playing or have played recently besides SC2/UQM? I'm not much of a serial gamer anymore (used to play about everything out for the original Nintendo and still have that stuff). But when the PC came along I started just cherry picking stuff that turned out to be "good" when I'm in a "down period" and not have other projects.
I play SC2 a lot (good for melee because it's not hours long), I played Half-Life and a bunch of mods before my current project, Deus Ex. Want to find a good (meaning cheap) copy of the Sims probably next to see what that is about...got a copy of Giants: Citizen Kabuto with my video card, but it won't load...
So what kind of background does everybody have? What kind of other games are people playing? And has there been anything out since Half-Life that'd be thoroughly worth my time, in your opinions?

Neverwinter isnt really made to be a single player RPG. The adventure is quite small. It was mainly made for multiplayer and for modding.

halo is primarly a X-box title, i thought it was good for x-box but have not tried the PC version
and yes Halo 2 looks sweet

I can't even begin to start listing all the games I've played, but let's list a few notables:
X-Com: The first one is a good old classic on the same level as SC2. I suspect more people have played it than SC2 back in the day. However, the sequels are complete shit.
TIE Fighter: Another classic. This is like X-Wing, only it was done a little better and has a lot more missions to fool around on.
Master of Magic: Like Civilization, only fantasy themed. It's one of those games that has a lot of remakes that are never done right. Heroes of Might and Magic as well as Age of Wonders are like this, only not anywhere near as good.
Dungeon Keeper: Fun game. The setting is hilariously over the top. Peter Molyneux's best work. He's screwed most of his visions up pretty badly. The sequel to this was done without him and felt kind of cheap.
Grand Theft Auto 3 as well as Vice City: I hate car games. Car people are annoying as hell. These games are a clear exception to my opinion, everyone should give them a try.
Metal Gear Solid: The first real stealth game ever made. The story is pretty hefty, although sometimes ridiculous. Fun, but was disappointed with the sequel. 3 might be fun.
Ninja Gaiden: The reason I got an Xbox. Fun, pretty to look at and challenging. The plot's a joke, but this is a definite style over substance game. I got my avatar from this, but the resizing has smudged it a bit.
StarCraft: Blizzard's best work. Warcraft III--while still enjoyable--is kind of a mess.
Final Fantasy series: Overrated like hell but some of these are fun.
Oh, and about Halo. The solo is repetative, but this game gets SO much better when you go multiplayer with it.

AVP2 is the most fun you will ever have in first person shooters 
if you like worms or scorched earth try out Gunbound, it is free and fun.
