I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

I had star control II long ago and I remember I managed to exctact the mod files, to listen to the music whenever I wanted. I no longer have the game so I downloaded it again, this time the ur quan masters version, but I don't remeber how to extract the mods or if it's possible. I notices the special effects come seperately and there's an *.snd file to each ship that I can't open with any program. So how do I get the mod's? I'd like to use them in my cell phone and all (the urquan music rules so much!!)

The MODs are in different folders in the main content ZIP, you can extract them with WinZIP or WinRAR. It's easier to find them all if you turn on folder-less "flat" view so you can see all the files in one list, then sort by type / extension and extract all the MODs. The MODs can then be played in WinAmp, MODplug, pick yer poison.
The SND files are just meta-data, lists of WAV files for sound effects.

the problem is that I ran the game installer.. it installed the game and I can't find any mod's in the game folder or subfolders, neither do I know from wich file to extract the mod's..

Look for the file uqm-0.3-content.zip in the /content/packages directory.

Well, I don't have the directory /packages, Maybe I downloaded some short incomplete version, I'm downloading it again and it's taking much more time so I guess it'll be ok this time. And what's PONAF??

I downloaded it and it has the same files, plus the remixes of the old musics. That will do, but what I was REALLY looking for was the original music of the urquan, In MOD format! The one that shows in the game when you are talking to any Ur quan ship, you know?? How could I get that?
