I'm using the Linux version of UQM, and I've installed all three remix music packs in the /content/packages/addons/uqmremix directory. They are not unzipped.
Starting up the game with the --addon uqmremix option, the first remix pack seems to work (I have the new music for the Arilou, for example) but the rest of the packs aren't working. I downloaded fresh copies to see if that was the problem... but it's still occurring.
Anyone have any suggestions on why this is happening?
You don't have any unpacked files in /content? Because unpacked files always override packed files. Also, only the uqm-remix-pack[123].zip files can be used directly in the game, not the uqm-remix-pack[123]-extras.zip files.

hdgf: I suggest you use a launcher program, such as this one from Mark Vera instead.
GekkoGeck0: If you haven't put those files there yourself, it's the fault of whoever built the Mandrake RPMs. In that case I can only suggest not to use them, and install the game yourself according to the instructions on the download page. Compilation from source is not required.

Thanks meep-eep. I downloaded uqm-0.3-source.tgz and followed the instructions. After solving a few dependencies, it worked just fine and the remix packs work like a charm. Thanks again for your help.
