the original had a trainer, how come this game doesnt have any cheats to it?

If there was a money cheat, It'd be worthless; no one uses money in UQM.

If getting RU is such a big issue, then that means you aren't doing as well in the game and need to learn a few things. There is plenty of RU in the game, actually about 99% more than you need. 
The map as posted should help some.

In the old PC version there was a bug that you could sell planet landers even if you didn't have any. I guess it is removed in UQM.

How do you know you can beat it without cheats by using the cheats?
Whast I am saying is that it is sometimes good to be stuck on a certain problem a day or two and figuring it out instead of going to a walkthough at the first sign of a problem. .
