I really do despise Krock all they play in punk rock with an occaisional good song in the mix.Ten years ago this was an entirely different story, you can be in a punk rock band too, simple procedure, remove lyrics from a classic rock song, speed it up and finally sing with your testicles in a vice(with the exception of Green Day of course). Anyway I've heard it before trying to something good on the radio that wasn't it, far too depressing.

Yeesh, here I am debating with you on a non-politics thread. Most punk actually isn't covers of classic rock, you know; lots of kids find it cool to listen to things like A New Found Glory and their endless litany of covers, but it's not actually that huge a part of punk as an entire musical genre.
I agree with you that a lot of pop punk you hear on the radio is fairly unoriginal and boring, but I wouldn't say it's terribly worse than the state of the radio dial back when classic rock was the norm (by which I mean music in general back in the '60s and '70s, not just those songs that have been passed down to use as "classics"). The fact that you pick Green Day as the lone punk band you like is a sign that you probably shouldn't criticize punk as a genre.
