I'm adding descriptions for some of the ships. The Kohr-Ah Marauder was the only complete description before I started writing, so that's what I'm roughly basing my articles on. Feel free to revise my descriptions or add your own for the other ships!

When you say an "encyclopedia shouldn't speculate", what exactly do you mean? Is this a nonfiction encyclopedia about the game Star Control 2, or a fiction encyclopedia about the Star Control 2 universe? The two are very, very different projects.

When you say an "encyclopedia shouldn't speculate", what exactly do you mean? Is this a nonfiction encyclopedia about the game Star Control 2, or a fiction encyclopedia about the Star Control 2 universe? The two are very, very different projects. Well, it's a community project, so "what it is" is something that would have to be decided by all of us, but what I had in mind when I started the project, and what I will still be advocating, is to document all aspects of the game as they are known, including what people can do in the game, the backstory, internals, history about the creation of the game, and things like that. I did not intend it to be a work of fan-fiction based on extrapolation of what we know and assumptions of what we don't know. I'm not saying there it should not include various theories that people have, but they should be presented as such, and preferably in a seperate section of a page. Even a word as "possibly", "perhaps", or "maybe" would help, leaving no doubt to the reader that it isn't taken directly from a TFB source. Take for instance a sentence from your story about the Dnyarri: "Planning to kill the neo-Dnyarri, he found that the Dnyarri's powerful instinct of self-preservation gave it enough strength to protect itself even with the Shield active" You don't know what gave the Dnyarri the strength to overcome the Taalo Shield. If you say it's because of self-preservation, that's speculation. It may be the most obvious explanation, but the most obvious explanation isn't always the correct one. I would personally just leave out any interpretation on how the Dnyarri was able to overcome the shield, but if you insist on including it, phrasing it like "Perhaps the prospect of death gave the Dnyarri enough strength to overcome the protective shielding of the Taalo device, but somehow it was able to force its will onto the captain." will not state anything as a fact that the game didn't already do. Similarly, you don't know that the captain wanted to kill the Talking pet. All he did was imply that to the Dnyarri. (And the Arilou may have already told you that having a Dnyarri you can control would be a powerful weapon, which would give the captain a reason to want it alive.)
I personally think your contributions are among the best written ones; it's just that I'd like what you tell to be more accurate.
Btw, I'm not doing anything with your email adresses; it's safe to register so people can see your name instead of your IP. If you don't trust it, you could always use a throw-away email account (spam.la is my favourite).
By another way, making some text link to another page within the Ultronomicon is as simple as placing double square brackets around it. If you say [[Ultron]], that word will be a link to the page titled "Ultron" in the Ultronomicon. It's not really a problem if you don't -- others can add those brackets quickly -- but don't let any preconceptions you may have about the wiki markup stop you.

The Ultronomicon works perfect, thanks everybody for updating it so often!
However, yesterday I was greatly shocked, when I clicked the link "discussion" just above the "main page" heading. There was nothing but a unbeliavably insulting note. It said something like this: 'I fucked your mother in the face and now I coming to rape you'.
How the heck was that possible?? How did I get a message like that?? I should have taken a screenshot of it, because now in the same place I just see a page 'editing talk: main page'. But I can't fully express myself about this issue, but I can't look at the Ultronomicon without remembering the 'very pleasant' surprise.

Okay... I guess that was pretty obvious. Nowadays every site has its vandals. Well, thank you for acting fast in the case. I wonder if I was the only who saw the mess?
