Stuff near Spathiwa
« on: September 28, 2004, 12:03:47 am »

I remember hearing a rumor from some alien race that there were ten ancient Precursor waste disposal sites somewhere near Spathiwa (Epsilon Gruis I). I finally decided to check this out, so I did an energy scan of every planet and moon in the Gruis star group, but I found no Precursor stuff. Should I have scanned further star groups, or what did I miss?

Keep on scanning. You'll find them. I should mention that not all of them
are in Spathi space.

'none' IS a special case of 'not all', I guess.

Okay, thanks. Smiley

Listen, just so I don't wear myself out and get really pissed off... is it true that I can find all of them just by doing energy scans? Just making sure. I don't want to have to scour each planet with my lander.

Wait a minute.... ten waste disposal sites, none of them in Spathi space.... are you telling me that the rainbow worlds are waste disposal sites?

They might have been.
To answer the question of scans, _most_ items can be found on
a planet's surface with energy scans. With the expection (I believe)
of the VUX beast. That one is a biological.

huh precursor waste disposal sites?
who said that?
actually it's been little talked about the Precursors in sc2.
if any race said something like that its probably the Slylandro cuz they are the only one who talked more then a sentence about them.

however in sc3 they totally fucked it up with the rainbow cause.

I believe that the Spathi said they were waste disposal sites.  Or that was their theory.

We haven't been able to translate much of their writing, but we understand one fragment of text.
It mentions a sequence of 10 artificial `waste disposal sites ' they built somewhere around here.
I suspect that even garbage from the Precursors would be of incredible value.

That is what the Spathi had to say, but notice, its not their thoughts, its what they read that Could or could not have come from the precursors.

They WERE pretty godly =p
