The game gives you the option later on to change the Ilwrath's species name to the Dill-Rats. This monumental change is of such importance that I demand the Core Team program this name change to show up on the star map in the next patch. DOGAR AND KAZON COMMAND IT!
Also, it is a shame that the YuuBuu, Warship and Dwe commandments don't seem to to take effect but are of lesser importance.

I was thinking that the way Ilwrath appear to speak English makes this doable -- the way they Capitalize Every Word seems to imply that they pronounce each word separately from the rest of the sentence, completely enunciated and with the same tone and emphasis each time and no regard for how the word is being used (at least, that's how the original voice actor chose to interpret it).
You could really emphasize this effect and make Ilwrath even more humorous and annoying to listen to by actually recording each word as a separate sample from the voice actor ("And." "Now." "We." "Destroy." "You."), and making the Ilwrath audio files by patching individual words together. Doing this would also make it a lot easier to do the "Dwe", "Yuubuu", "Warship" and "Dill-Rats" modifications, since instead of laboriously going through and re-recording the script you could just do a software search and replace for the old samples.
The whole thing would probably have to be treated as a side project that would make the sound files and just give them to the game maintainers to import, but I think it would be darn cool. Also, of course, even without doing that changing all the printed text labels to "Dill-Rats" would be great.

Well, I think if we were doing a complete re-voicing of SC2, doing the Ilwrath that way might be kind of convoluted, but once you wrote a simple script for doing it it wouldn't necessarily take less time and effort than recording the whole script the regular way.
The question is whether people would like the way it sounded better or worse than actually voicing them normally.

We did. You did. Yes we can. No.

You would need several samples for each scripted word to make sure it didn't SOUND like it was script-generated.

But that's the point. It is meant to sound scripted -- the Ilwrath are meant to sound like inhuman beasts who speak our language haltingly and by reproducing each word like a recording. (It's also meant to be a good translation of what the capitalization of the Ilwrath text actually sounds like.)

Well, I meant it shouldn't sound like it was the same sound file being played over and over. Creator's intents notwithstanding, that would sound stupid, and not in a 'ha-ha' way, just a 'wow, the dev team was lazy' kind of way.

I doubt that anyone will re-record all of the Ilwrath dialogue, and yet it is a shame not to hear them say 'dwe' and 'warship'. How about this as a compromise: The text of future dialogues can be changed to read 'dwe', 'yuubuu', 'warship', and 'dill-rats' where appropriate, but the voice will stay the same. We might be able to get away with it except in the case of 'yuubuu', as the other ones sound very similar to their spoken counterparts.
That's a good idea, actually. The voices are kind of lame anyway so feel free to fix up the dialogue text. If people are so fussy about having voices in the game, then the Voice Actors Guild or whatever should re-dub SC2 on their own. For free. Without us asking them to do it.

Use samples of dwe, yuubuu, warship that are already recorded. Change them slightly to make several versions. Set conditionals on every you, worship, we. Set a lot of new time keys so you know how much of original dialouge to silence and new dialouge to insert (0.1 sec "you" becomes 0.45 sec "yuubuu"). Use a random # generator to choose between different samples of dialouge so that every "dwe" doesn't sound like the preceding one.
Hilarity ensues.

To make it sound more realistic, make a slight random pause before each repalcement so that it seems the ilwrath has to think about what it is saying. Or not.

Making them enunciate each word separately would make them sound very Captain Kirk-like... heh.
