PoNaF is down?

I go, it says "Action Cancelled". Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

The main page seems to be inaccessible, but directly linking to the subpages works fine. Blame GameSpy and whatever they're doing with the ad system.

That particular phenomenon has been occurring off-and-on for months; I'd always suspected that GameSpy has an auto-clobbering system that would inject ads into extant pages (and in some cases, completely break them), and that Chad would come along and un-clobber his top page whenever he noticed it had been altered; but I never asked about it on PNF, and nobody else seemed to mention it, so I figured it was just me.  Apparently not.

However, I think the original post was referring to the PNF discussion board, which does indeed seem to be gone.  Would those closer to the sources care to weigh in on the subject?

The dynamic server (CGI, etc) is down.  Supposedly it might be back up by Monday.

Yesterday (Tuesday) they said

"The dynamic servers will be slowing coming back online today, however access to them is still restricted till further notice."

Ooh, so close...

The CGI is back in place, but whomever restored it forgot to make it executable.  Smiley

Do you know at this time if any data was lost?

I do not know the answer to that question yet.  But I did post a news item a few hours before it went down and its there.

I cannot log in yet to change the permissions on files, etc.
