Some of you may be interested in a new game called Pardus that is a Massive Multiplayer Online Browser Game (MMOBG) playing in a future where traders, pirates and other pilots of various races and factions strive to gain wealth and fame in space.
It's still in a developing stage but is very playable and open to user suggestions. I'm just dropping this in case any of you may be interested. I for one find this similar to an old BBS game called Trade Wars... and there seem to be quite a few fans of MoO and Elite wandering around. This game is completely free and quite fun.
Check it out at.. http://www.pardus.at/

sorry to reply to my own thread, but if you find this game interesting enough, please bump it with some positive response to get more people to play.
If you don't like it, feel free to comment as well.

Understand that you're not going to recruit many people from advertising on forums. This isn't a "follow link, play 15 minutes then call it a day" kind of game, it's a long term investment because you have to register and figure the damn thing out first.
That said, this looks like just what I need right now.
...
Holy hell this is complicated. I'll try learning it tomorrow.

I know many people may not be interested in this... but I enjoy the game and want to encourage the game to grow. Sure it may be a little confusing, at first... but it's realy not all that complex, and there are usually plenty of people in chat to help a new player w/ any questions he or she may have.

We did. You did. Yes we can. No.

I was especially intimidated by the manual's chart of what the various planets need and supply. The verbal explanation made a lot more sense, though I am at a loss as to why a desert planet would need crystals.
Also, the long list of items you could trade was no help... and in the beginning very confusing because I have no idea how those prices vary, whether they're high or low.
I joined as Fwiffo, but then changed my name to NotEnoughTimeToPlay. The name was apt.
