Want to have a lot of RU, CREW an change the ship configuration at any time?

Works for Mac OS X. Not tested in other OS

...the source code IS distributed openly. I shudder to think how long it took you to track this stuff down. If you really want to cheat, you can just make Earthling Cruisers invulnerable...

I know that the source code is open distributed. What about that?

Took me less than 1 minute to figure how to change RU, just comparing two saved files with HexEdit.
All the stuff about 20 min.
Less than figure out how to change the code of the game and compile it.

I share this information for the ones who asked in the forum.

I'm happy.

And cheating is just fine, if that's the way people wnat to play. It's just a choice, like many others. Some people do, some people don't. Just like homosexuality, which we appear to have wandered into.

Other than the fact that it can take away from the gaming experience - cheating in computer games really is not that bad....

Nothing wrong with it as far as I am concerned....

There used to be a UQM savegame editor on PONAF, but it appears that Fileplanet is no longer hosting it. Damn ye, fileplanet! Daaaamn yeeeee! Angry

I have the utility on my disk somewhere, but It's out of date. I think it was made for an earlier version of UQM.

(Is this my 50th post? Whoooo.)
