I've heard something about a frenzy mode for super melee, that makes it really crazy and stuff.
1: does it exist?
2: has it been included in UQM?

1. I think it turns of the delay that keep the combat running at a fixed frame rate. It just plays as fast as your computer allows.
2. We haven't talked about it. It seems rather unimportant to me. It may be fun to watch for a few minutes. For the rest, the only use I can think of for having it is to quickly determine which ship the computer handles better (one team with all ships A, one team with all ships B, and start the frenzy). It should be easy enough to add though.

Would it be at all possible to have it run faster, but not as fast as possible? So you could have speed settings or something?

It would be impossible (or nearly so) to pilot a ship at faster than normal speed. It would be cool however to have a 10X version of melee for tactical research. Grin
It would be interesting to see which fights better in reality: good cyborg or awesome cyborg. The strategies don't seem to vary much...
