Check your instructions.

I decided to download the files separately and try to do a UQM install.  I saw the text below on the download page:

Quote

The installer downloads content packages automatically by default. However, if the content downloading fails for some reason (or you chose "Executable Only"), you need to get the zips yourself and put them to content\packages\ directory under the dir where you installed UQM, e.g. "C:\Program Files\The Ur-Quan Masters\content\packages\" if you used default location.

I've found this to be incorrect.

You want to go to "C:\Program Files\The Ur-Quan Masters\content\" as default.  Also just for clarity it wouldn't hurt to say to unzip them instead of "put" them - it might be interpreted that they just need copied there and all will be well.

Problem is, they do NOT need to be unzipped! They DO need to be put in content/packages! Tongue

The instructions are in fact exactly correct. You need to put the .zip files, still packed, in content\pacakges. If you unzip it in content\, it will work too, but you'll run into problems when you install add-ons.

I have added a "(still zipped!)" to the text on the download page, to prevent future confusion.
