First Priv now StarCon2
« on: January 13, 2005, 09:05:35 am »

  WOW!

First I find a Privateer remake and now I find a Starcon2 port... (thanks to the transgaming newsletter that came out)  OH HAPPY DAYS!

Anyone know of any others?

Willy Bemish?  Masters of Orion? Quest for Glory? Monkey Island?

Now if I can find MOO I can finally take down the Dos box I still have running... lol

If someone makes a quest for glory remake, I may have to change my underware.

Does that imply that a lack of a remake of aforementoined game, would mean you never change underwear? Is it some sort of tradition for you to change your underwear only on such special occasions?  Wink

About Monkey Island - there is a ScummVM program that makes all the old lucas arts adventure games work properly on new computers.

A change would do you good.

I do change my underware on a regular basis. At least once a week.
However, should something as exciting as a port of QG happen,
I'd probably have to change them again.

*sings* A change would do me good....

There is indeed, it also works for Simon the Sorcerer. However, you need to own legal copys of those games to use it. So it's not quite in the same league as our wonderful free UQM.

That is not true, ScummVM worked with at least my pirated versions of Monkey Island 1 and 2.

The ONLY reason I downloaded them illegally, was that they weren't sold anywhere.

Take note, this is my vision of piracy: "You should illegally copy only those products, which you will purchase if possible."

Can't say I care much for the Privateer remake. Too many changes for my taste.

I can't seem to get it to run fast enough on my machine. Shame
since the original plays just fine.

Fronter: First Encounters remake is number 1 on my list of "want 'em":s.

About those allready made: Maniac Mansion deLuxe is great, and OF COURSE, UQM is awesome! And I just found an ELITE remake (pc-Elite w/ C64 Elite sounds), ahh the rush of nostalgia.... Grin
