I'd like to have star control sounds as ringtones for my mobile phone. How can I convert .mod's to .mid's, so I could send them to my mobile phone??

Optionally, if you feel like getting your hands a bit dirty, you can try ModPlug Traacker. This will, among other things, allow you to export a .mod as a .mid. The only catch here is that you'd have to give out some information to download it. If you don't really feel good about doing this, I have a copy availible on my machine.

It doesn't export instruments, but you can change what each instrument is set to using the dropdown menus. Just play around with them until you find a good match.

Best way would be to create specifically some midi files for ring tones. I actually could try out something, as it's quite easy task to make midi from the "sources" of the songs I've made for the remix project (they kind of already are in midi format). I've made few ringtones for my 6600 in the past and they've worked great.
