Addon packages...?

What are the addon packages? What do they add; extra sounds?

Yup - they add extra music to the game. Some are out while some are in the process.

There is also some ditties (sounds played after a ship wins in a fight) as well.

Also, if you want more - there are addons that are more like mods. UQM+ is one of them.

Well - it depends on the Mod.

UQM+ for example makes the game harder with prices, sends a few ur-quan ships to your starbase every once in a while and in general, makes the Captains life that much harder.

Now - if you REALLY want a challenge - try beating the game without going to the starbase. (Don't do this unless you have beat the game regularly many times)

How do I get the addon packages to execute I tried command line "uqm.exe --addon uqmremix" but it says cannot find file.

Um... in order to get the addon packages to work I need to type in addon (name of addon) in the command line right?

How do I access the command line for UQM? Huh

Actually, fOSSiL did it first. He only fixed the bug that made it impossible to complete the game without using the Star Base at all a few days ago.
