Did the celts REALLY call aliens "Arilou Lalee'lay" or was this another thing made up for Star Control?

Ariloulaleelay is a Celtic word for a variety of little folk (e.g. elves, fairies). Various folks have been supposing that supernatural-seeming events were caused by aliens for a long time; in SC, this particular matchup is canon.

Actually, the question isn't whether it makes sense that faeries could be the Arilou -- obviously it at least kind of does -- but whether the *name* Arilou La'leelay is an actual authentic Celtic word for faeries.
Does anyone actually know about this one way or the other? I've Googled and read through encyclopedias and found no reference, and "Arilou La'leelay" sounds like no Celtic language I've ever heard, though I could be wrong. It's *similar* to "Tuatha de Danaan" -- the cadence is parallel, and such -- and I referenced that in the Ultronomicon article on the Arilou I wrote.
But given that "Arilou" is a word that originally comes from SC1, and TFB were pretty open about slapping together race names and bios kind of haphazardly for that game ("Ilwrath" = "Stephen McIlwraith", "Melnorme" = "Mel Torme", and so on) I kind of doubt that "Arilou La'leelay" has any real-world significance.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, because it would be really cool if it *were* a real-life reference.

Sorry to disappoint some of you, but the name "Arilou Lalee'lay" is definitely not Celtic. It is not taken from any Celtic language, be it alive (Welsh, Breton, Irish, Scots Gaelic, Manx, Cornish) or dead (Gaulish, Celtiberian, Lepontic). Trust me on that (I am a teacher at my university's Celtic studies department).

Well, nothing really worth mentioning, if, as I assume, this is just a made-up series of syllables that sounds "exotic" and the whole Celtic thing is a later bit of flavor.
The "children of the Celts" that they talk about might refer to some totally lost culture descended from the people we call Celts, by the way, if you want to retcon it.
