Here's something I did in Photoshop. Not official or anything.
Not really finished. Kzer-Za ships are still kinda tacky. Left side works better.

You mean ships? Yeah they're all sketchy.

This keeps getting exponentially cooler every time I see it. The sa-matra is a nice touch.

Dude.... this is awsome!

With a little touch I would vote it as the official cover for The Ur-Quan Masters.

It is truly beautifull.

I would very much like to see this as the start screen of The Ur-Quan Masters. Even in its development stage this surpasses the original with flying colors. Way to go, Arne!

Very, very good artwork.

However, for a proposed cover art piece, there is precious little human, or indeed, Alliance presence in the painting. How about painting in the Vindicator, heading from the starbase toward the viewer?

Glad you like it! I thought about doing the slides too, when I get time. I just wanted to do something with concentrating on the worms for this one.

Is it just me or is the green guy hanging badly? Too much of his back showing.

Yay! The slides! Cheesy Thought you'd forgotten about that one. I do like your drawing and painting styles, and the intro/ending slides are practically begging to be redone. I'd be curious to see what you might make out of them.

He does kinda... slouch a little, but with the burden of responsibility the Ur-Quan carry, who can blame him? Besides, the green guys are losing.

EDIT: sp!

One of his earlier versions did have the vindicator in it... I think I like the sa-matra better, though.

Well, yeah. The Vindicator is the one ship you see most of in the game, so I guess it's a bit redundant to splash it in here.

On a similar note, for all the talking about the Sa-Matra in the game, you get to see precious little of it, so I guess seeing more of it is a good thing. Besides, it is way cooler looking than the ol' Vindy. Smiley
