For movie music, my favorite bit has *GOT* to be from Star Trek II, the segment that went with the battle in the Mutara Nebula.

Game music though, gotta think a bit.  Think it's a toss-up between Star Control II battle music and the music used in Warcraft.

An excellent pick, from the best movie of that series. Damn! I wonder if a mod could be created to put that into super melee!!! That would be funny.

An ogg would work just as well, I think.

Amen brotha.  I love that soundtrack almost as much as the original Star Wars soundtrack.  Very good stuff.

Hey, who here has played Mechwarrior 2? Does anyone remember it's music? (If you don't remember it, you're probably not human.)

I've played the game (great game) but I don't remember the music... I guess that voids my human status.

If you still have the disc, play the music on your comp or a cd player and reclaim your humanity. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I think you'll find it's worth digging up.

Clubbed to Death by Rob Dougal. That does count because it was first used in Matrix, right?

The Blade Runner theme was also good, and the theme for Crest/Banner of the Stars.

The Firefly theme.

Journeyman Project? I have pretty much all the games for that series (including Pegasus Prime and DVD version of JMP3). Can I extract music from those?

You don't actually have to (at least with the first JP game). The CD plays off a home theatre or boom box just as a normal music CD does. Since they're already in the correct format, they can be extracted easily if you have roxio cd creator or the like.

Just browse around the CD's, presto never bothered with encrypting or wadding up their game content.
