I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

Here's a theory that I worked on but never succeeded in doing. After we get the Vux tell us the real reason why they hate us so much, is it possible to get the mask that the Utwig want to give to us for fixing the Ultron, wear it while talking to the Vux again and form an alliance?
I tried getting the Utwig to finish the mask many times, but never got them to finish it.

But has anyone tried anything like this?
We know definitively, for instance, that there are no black spathi since none of their ships exist in the game. As far as I know, which admittedly is not that far, there is no definitive answer for the above question.
Only the makers of the game can give us a sure answer.

Agreed!
And thanks! --you gave me just the answer that I was looking for.
But that's the hallmark of a game this good... even knowing the source code says it's impossible still leaves a bit of doubt in one's mind.
At least officially, I can lay this theory to rest somewhat along with any hope of finding Black Spathi.

I was thinking that wearing an utwig mask should help become less hostile with them, in sequels. But not here.

Hmmm... definitely a possibility. In SCII, I tried asking about the mask several times and the most I could get was that it was in a secret location and that it would take years to make. I even tried looking for where it was being made.

I am always told that the likelyhood of Pkunk respawning is 50%, but even if the code says that, I don't buy it. When ever I fight my brother in melee, the respawns follow a pattern, I haven't been able to recognize yet. I see it, but I don't know what it is.

While technically correct (it's a psuedo random function, and thus some pattern should emerge eventually), it should be perceptually indistinguishable from a true 50/50 random number generator, to which people like to ascribe patterns to as well...
Regarding the Utwig Mask, wasn't it being made on the face of a moon or something?
