There's another way, but it only works for Linux. Perhaps you can find someone else to do it for you.

Nope. What's the exact problem with unCD-ROM?

I think winrar can read contents of .iso files - that is, if you've already read the .iso file from the cd-rom.

.iso is just a file format for a CD image. The actual file system that's on it will differ. The most common format is ISO-9660, which is used by much modern operatings systems on PCs. It's not unlikely that winrar can read those. But the 3DO has its own file system, and I'd be really surprised if winrar can do anything with that. Un-CDROM knows the 3do filesystem and works directly on the ISO file.

Yes, theirs is a copy that is compatible with W2K. Again: what is the exact problem?

The .exe file that comes with unCD-ROM is not a DOS executable. It's a Windows program with a command line interface. What you apparently want is something with a graphical user interface. And that doesn't exist.

unCD-ROM should be perfectly usable on your system though, if you know how to work with the command shell. I suggest some research on that first. Then using the unCD-ROM program should speak for itself.
Or someone with more patience/time than me could tell you what to do step by step, but you won't learn very much from that.

You have to run it through the command line.

Start -> Run -> cmd

Then type the full path and executable name, like "C:\Folder\run.exe"

No such option in unCD-ROM. It will extract everything into a dir called CDROM_<image-name sans .iso> under the current dir. You can ask someone to add an output dir option, but seeing how the uncdrom operation is usually a one-shot deal, I would not bother.
