That and I'm having trouble getting remix packs 1 - 3 to actually work.
Side note: Had a little fun with my Pkunk yesterday. Replaced the file "rebirth.wav" so that it no longer goes "Hallelugiagh" (or however you spell it) when he respawns. Instead, you hear a voice from another classic game declaring "BEWARE!! I live..."
From memory, what you have to do is place the remix packs in the directory /content/addons/uqmremix/ and launch UQM with the following command line switch: --addon uqmremix
I usually just unzip the remix packs into the content directory (the Unix install script in CVS doesn't zip the content, and zipped content doesn't override unzipped content properly). Crude, but functional.
unzipping == bad idea unzipped files are supposed to always override unzipped files. Usually when people unzip files (like content files) they come back here later saying that something doesn't work. People unzipping files is the reason we renamed the content packages to .uqm (even though they're still .zip files internally).
If you want the add-on packages to be loaded automatically, just put them in the content/packages dir along the content .uqm packages. They get loaded in alphabetical order and later loaded ones override earlier ones. If you want to specify on the command line what you want to use, just do like in the FAQ.
