If you have made a SC board game, you should get in touch with TiLT, he's made one too! He might have some useful tips for you.

You can find him on these boards, just plow through the members list.

I don't think so, therefore I'm probably not.

And here I am! Yes, I've made a boardgame conversion of Star Control 1. Although my version has a few problems (mostly related to playtime), it's still pretty fun, and feels like Star Control.

From the way you phrase your post, it seems like you're making an online boardgame, am I correct?

Actually I have been unable to work on it.

R/L issues keep getting in the way.  Basically...I like the feel of the orignal Game from the sega Genesis also.  I have mapped out about 6 expansions and have all the ships plotted, the baisc design of the peices and a veryvery very very rough draft of the rules scattered on paper.

The hardest part is trying to do it justice by dedicating enough time to it.  i dont want to throw something out that I had worked on and off for about four years and have it be crap.

Its not an online board game.  Pen and paper and dice stuff.  I think the best thing about the game is the mapping pattern I have to simulate the jump points between stars.
