I thought I'd share my latest dumbass moment with all of you. I ordered some RAM yesterday from a website. Since the difference between the ground and 2nd Day Air shipping methods were just a difference of about ten to fifteen bucks, I decided to go with 2nd day air. After $200 in RAM, $15 really isn't much. Well, the one thing that they don't tell you on these online sites is where they ship their products from. I looked at the tracking info this morning and I saw that it was shipped from just 10 miles down the road. And just to add insult to injury, the Fedex site says that it won't arrive until tomorrow (2nd day). Nobody look at me, I'm a moron.
Do yourself a favor before ordering online, check to see where they ship their product from first before deciding on a shipping method.
That reminds me of the time when I was ordering something and they asked me how I wanted it shipped. At that moment, lightning struck and we both jumped. It was at that point we realized we were about one mile apart. If it hadn't been for that, I would probably have been in the same situation as you.
