Getting ship info in super melee
« on: November 12, 2005, 03:42:46 pm »

Hi,

I was wondering how to bring up the ship info in super melee in the ship selection box. It says to hit 'C', but i am assuming that is referring to a 3DO control. Does anyone know?

I remember from playing SC1 that you hit space, and it brought up those beautiful ship images - i would love to see these in UQM too.

The 3DO ship videos aren't included in UQM for copyright reasons and the code to play them hasn't been included in UQM yet. See bug 733.

PC SC2 doesn't have any ship info in the game; 3DO SC2 has some (rather boring) videos that basically show the ship spinning around with a brief description on voice-over. The ship spin videos (like the 3DO intro and ending videos) were not made by TFB and it's unclear who holds the copyright on them (probably Atari, due to buying the guys who bought Accolade or something like that).

The PC SC1 ship description pictures were actually more fun in my opinion.
