Since basically the only ship I know how to fight with is Fwiffo, my tactics are nothing better than your average Spathi-user. I always charge in, do some zig-zagging to avoid shots and then turn around and fire two B.U.T.T.s while flying away. It's not vvery difficult, it's not very exciting, it takes a while, but it allows me to take on pretty much any ship as long as I use Fwiffo. After that, the only other *tactic* I use is to abort the autopilot and fly manual for a few seconds to avoid a head-on collision with other ships in hyperspace.

Well, I don't really have ONE tactic I stick with all the time.. It depends on your enemy.. If said enemy is a cyborg, you can stick with one or two, but if the enemy is a hunam being, you can't. Hunam opponents tend to change their tactics every time, and so do you need to do..
Also, it depends on the opponent's ship. You Spathi, vs. Enemy Chmmr? Charge on him, turn 180 degrees, ram your but in the Chmmr, and launch Butt missiles, sacrificing Spathi Crew in the process..
Supox vs. Kohr-Ah? Keep close, fire, and try to dodge stuff!
Earthling vs. Kzer-Za? Run off to that Planet, Gravity Whip, and fire those damn missiles! (did you know that like 3 or 4 cruisers can easilly take a Dreadnought, when playing simultaneously?)
Chmmr vs. Arilou? Pillbox.
So, yeah, it depends on the enemy's ship, and the enemy's type (Cyborg/Hunam)... Cyborgs are actually way too easy, even on awesome mode..

I like fighting over a distance most of the time. Space is a big place, why not use more of it.

I have many tactics, but one of the options brought up a fun one.
"Dont use violence"
When playing agaisnt a human, if you just run away for ever (specifically skiff vs avatar) then you can inflict suicide on the enemy ship. Its quite fun if you have a lot of time.
