All right. Standard checklist:
- What colour depth are you using, 16 bit or 32 bit? If you haven't tried both, try the other one.
- Are you using pure SDL or OpenGL? If you haven't tried both, try the other one.
- Are you using an up-to-date graphics driver? If not, update it.

You're using an old binary, with the new content, or a new binary, with old content. Either update the content, or the binary...
Oh. I get it..
You're using a modified binary, which is 0.3. It doesn't work with the new content which is 0.4 Get the 0.4 source, modify it again like you did for 0.3, and recompile it for 0.4 Then it works.

Reinstall it completely. You're probably using an old (0.3) content .uqm file...

This is very odd, as UQM works fine for me in XP Home no matter what graphics settings I use. Are you quite sure you reinstalled UQM properly?

See? Old content files.. So, if anyone reads this later on through the Search feature (whoa! someone's using it!), just reinstall UQM/update .UQM files or the UQM.EXE file....
