A different problem running in Mac OS X
« on: August 04, 2005, 12:49:19 am »

I've seen all the other associated bugs running UQM on Mac OS X (i'm using OS 10.2).  This seems to be something new and different.

When running from Finder I get the pop-up message "The application The Ur-Quan Masters has unexpectedly quit."  I get the same error when running nic's version from www.submedia.net/uqm/, but only after launching from the settings dialog.

Here's what I get when running in Terminal:

[ip70-174-96-50:UQM.app/Contents/Resources] bowe% ../MacOS/The\ Ur-Quan\ Masters -o
dyld: ../MacOS/The Ur-Quan Masters Undefined symbols:
../MacOS/The Ur-Quan Masters undefined reference to _getopt_long expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
Trace/BPT trap

Any suggestions.  I'M a bit new to Mac though...

The 0.4 release doesn't work on anything older than 10.3, unfortunately.  I do intend to dig up my Xcode CD and install the 10.2 SDK to make this no longer the case, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  Sorry.
